AFC Portchester

Based in Portchester, a Fareham suburb, A.F.C. Portchester compete in the Wessex League
Premier Division, and are managed by Ian Saunders.

Nicknamed Portchy, or The Royals, Portchester were founded in 1971 under the name Loyds Sports, and their home matches are played at Wicor Recreation Ground.

Upon adopting their current name in 1999, the club achieved their second promotion in as many seasons. In the 2001/02 campaign, Portchester won the league title, but were unable to be promoted because of their ground’s lack of floodlights.

Progressively on the up for many years, Portchester have impressively won three trophies in the last four seasons. The Russell Coates Cup was lifted in both 2014 and 2017, and the Wessex League Cup in 2015
