Woking FC
Woking FC formed in 1889 and after just six years of their existence, they had joined and won the West Surry League. The club have since been crowned FA Trophy champions on a record three occasions and compete at The Kingfield Stadium in the National League with Australian, Anthony Limbrick, at the helm.
The club had a memorable stint competing in FA Cup in the 1990/91 campaign after the Surrey side defeated three Conference teams before emphatically beating West Brom 4-2. The Cardinals were then knocked out of the competition, losing 1-0 to Everton.
Just one year later and the Cards gained promotion to the Conference Premier Division after dominating the Isthmian League, winning with seven games to spare in April 1992.
Woking continued to play their trade in the Conference and became only the second club to lift the FA Trophy in successive campaigns after defeating Runcorn and Kidderminster Harriers in the 1994 and 1995 finals at Wembley Stadium.
The Cardinals achieved their third FA Trophy in 1997 after overcoming Dagenham and Redbridge 1-0 in the final. The only other teams to win the completion on three occasions are Telford United and Scarborough.
But Woking had a season to forget in the 2016/17 season. The club were relegated after finishing 18th in the Conference, bringing Gary Hill’s six-year stay as manager come to an end.
