Ex-Borough gaffer Alex Pike returns to the club
Mick Catlin Leaves Gosport Borough
Manager Mick Catlin has left Gosport Borough FC by mutual consent
Ex-boss Alex Pike is returning to the fold, and it is rumoured that Catlin turned down the offer of a joint managerial role.
Catlin was appointed in September, but it will be Pike who has the opportunity to guide the club forward with their transfer embargo now lifted.
Some new faces at The Boro also follow Alex Pike through the door. He has brought with him the signings of centre-back Nathan Walker from Hamworthy United, and right-back Corey Cherritt from Whitchurch United.

Also from Whitchurch is Pike’s new assistant manager, Carl Bennett.
With just two wins under their belt this season, the club currently sit bottom of the Southern League Premier Division with seven points from 25 games.
But relegation is far from a certainty. Only one team will be relegated this season, and Gosport are just two points behind Dunstable Town (23rd on nine points).
The Boro also have two games in hand over their relegation competitors, meaning they have the edge if they can grind out a win from their extra fixtures.
