We sit down and talk to Gosport and Gibraltar midfielder Jack Breed
Rising Stars - Jack Breed!
An graduate of the Gosport Borough academy, Jack Breed has managed to earn himself a place within the first-team squad this season.

But his impressive performances through youth levels were rewarded in a much larger scale when he received a call-up to the Gibraltar u21s.

We've sat down with Breed and you can find our Q&A below;
Q: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AT GOSPORT FOR

A: since the beginning of the season for the first team. I was with the college side for the last two years because I went to college here. But yeah, since the beginning of the season.
Q: SO HOW HAVE YOU FOUND IT SO FAR THIS SEASON
A: Obviously it’s been quite a struggle throughout the season. I think now we’re getting a basis of a team and everything is slowly moving back forward and we’re starting to do well again.
Q: TRANSFER EMBARGO HAS BEEN LIFTED, HOW EFFECTIVE IS THAT?
A: Yeah, everything is positive now. You can only go up from what we’ve been through.
Q: SO YOU’VE BEEN PLAYING FOR GIBRALTAR?
A: Yes I’ve been out twice now.
Q: SO HOW DID THAT COME TOGETHER?
A: I was born out there so I’m eligible to play for them. About four years ago, the old manager of the first team of Gibraltar asked my dad, because they are close friends, to get in contact around this time. Then I went out in May for a trial and then went for the 21s for the European qualifiers a couple of months ago and then went out with the 19s just last week.
Q: SO DO YOU ENJOY THE SWITCHUP?
A: Yeah it’s good, better weather as well. Very intense the training out there though. They take it everything very professionally.
Q: IS IT SOMETHING YOU WISH TO CONTINUE IN THE FUTURE?
A: Yeah if the opportunity is still there I’d love to still go out and represent my country.
