Hisham Kasimu is lighting it up for The Sparks.

Rising Stars - Hisham Kasimu!

Hisham Kasimu has made his mark in his first half-season with Team Solent, notching 20 goals.

The first-year student bagged a sensational four goals on his debut, and hasn’t let his foot off the gas since then.

Team Solent currently sit 16th in the Wessex Leauge Premier Division, but are on course for a comfortable mid-table finish, with plenty of breathing space between them and the relegation zone.

The middle of the table is incredibly close though, just one win could see The Sparks rise four places.

“Scoring feels great, especially with being new to the team as a first year,” said Kasimu.

“I started off slowly, but it feels good to be scoring goals now. I don’t want to look back now. We have to keep going, and keep working hard.”

The 21-year-old was born in France, and moved to the UK in 2010. Since then, he has had trials with football league clubs, including Barnsley and Charlton.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the lad who’s filled the number 10 shirt that Team Solent legend Jesse Waller-Lassen left behind after graduating from Solent University last year. Hopefully, the best is yet to come.
